India goes BANANAS • Banana Market

Trucks and trucks of green bananas came rolling into town. They’re off-loaded by hand, then auctioned off (that is the cutting and writing on the stalk part). The wholesalers in the street take their stalks and let the bananas ripe a little more. Finally, individual sellers come and buy bananas to put on their carts or bicycles and take them to individual neighborhoods.
